This bike was rescued from the scrap pile. Selling for parts only. No title. 20,444 miles. Motor turns over only 180 degrees--possible bent valve. Throttle is locked up. Seat is in bad shape, as shown. Missing left side cover, Gas tank is missing the key. Motor has been painted, paint is coming off. 6-into-1 header. Head is most likely good, as well as cylinders. Fork tubes are nice, headlight stays and bucket are in solid condition. We are not KZ1300 experts, so we're looking for a new home for this bike. Many hard to find parts. Motor is stuck, missing tank, missing side covers, pipes are rusted through on bottom. Seat pan is rusty with holes. Missing point cover. Missing some airbox parts. No broken fins. Many parts are in common with the 77-78 Kawasaki KZ1000A LTD. Triple clamps would be slightly different offset. Meters, master cylinder and switches aren't too bad. Bike does run. Seat needs recovered 52,000 miles changed oil, filter and spark plugs. 1000 LTD carbs. No broken fins on cylinder or head. Could be a good motor for another police bike or street bike. Doesn’t smoke, could use some tuning. Tachometer and Speedometer are not working. Runs rough. Transmission is good, has all the gears. Goes into gear nicely, doesn’t seem to smoke. Charging system seems to be over-charging; regulator/rectifier is bad, but it is putting out of the stator, so it probably has a good flywheel. Side covers have tab broken off both right and left. We believe these to be original paint. Gas tank has rust inside. Fairing has the bracket on front and some extra holes where equipment has been mounted. Please give us a call with your needs.
